Most of the courses are held at Foxearth Fisheries in Suffolk where the facilities allow a mixture of on the bank tuition as well as slide show presentations in the fisheries’ main building. The courses are centred on informal tuition where anglers can learn the art of digital photography at their own pace. We want people to relax, enjoy themselves, gain knowledge and information at a manageable level and to take those skills away with them and use them in a practical way.

Pete Castle who is fast becoming one of the leading fishing photographers in his field teaches many of the photographic ClickCarp courses. Pete, who has worked in the fishing industry for six or seven years now, understands how to push digital cameras to a point where, with just a few small adjustments, he can create fantastic results. Fishing photography has become an integral part of his day-to-day work and he will take your understanding forward so you can achieve the results you are looking for in a photograph.

“It might sometimes look complicated, but when you start to understand some the basic principles of photography, such as light, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc. it soon becomes a lot easier to create different effects and different images just by moving a couple of settings on the camera.

For example, because I now fully understand how shutter speed works I’m not intimidated about using cameras when it gets dark. On the contrary, a whole new world of photographic opportunity is opened up to me and I love being out there and taking advantage of it”.

The popularity of digital cameras amongst anglers is at an all-time high, but most people still don’t understand how to get the most from their equipment. The ClickCarp photographic courses are being offered to those people that want to develop their camera skills further in a relaxed and practical environment. Hands on advice has already been given to various anglers and these include people from the fishing industry as well as anglers that just want to learn more about photography for pleasure.
